BROWN Eagles face United Brothers in a grand final rematch in round 10 of the Port Moresby Men’s Softball Association at the Bisini Diamonds on Sunday.
Both teams are in good form and head into the match confident of a win to build some momentum ahead of the semifinals which are expected to be played in the middle of next month. Eagles beat Brothers in the premiership decider but this time, it will be a lot different with two games remaining in the regular season.
For Eagles, it’s a moment of truth if they can repeat the same dose that shocked Brothers in what is predicted to be an interesting contest at 12.45pm in humid conditions. Brothers are aware that the young Eagles side have come of age with back-to-back premierships and will not underestimate them.
In the earlier matches, Yokomo meet Kikila Cats (9am), Aviat Jets face Stingerz (10.15am) and Moni Plus Gazelle take on Saints (11.30am). PNG Power meet Bears at 1.30pm while Defence are on a bye. Meanwhile, the Port Moresby Women’s Softball Association is expected to host two quality matches tomorrow.
Ladder leaders United Sisters face Saints and Bears meet Stingers in what are crucial matches for each of the teams as the competition heads into the business end of the season.
