THE 21 participants from 11 Catholic dioceses attending a week-long conference will focus on guiding youths to lead better lives.
The national youth animators seminar facilitated by the Youth Commission of the Catholic Bishops Conference is being held at Emmaus Conference Centre in Port Moresby.
It is focused on helping youth animators interact, network, share insights into assisting young people.
The first session was led by Bishop Rochus Tatamai who reminded participants to spend more time in prayer.
“As a Melanesian, we need to highlight the good that is present in our culture and evangelise what is contrary to Catholic life, principles, doctrine and teachings,” he said.
“Walking the way of Jesus, telling the truth of Jesus and living the life of Jesus are the three guiding stars.”
