The National Letters

MY comments is on the idea that the Department of Youth, Religion and Community Development is proposing to declare Papua New Guinea as a Christian country , as published in The National on June 25.
It would be a bluff – declaring PNG a Christian country.
It would be shameful to us Papua New Guineans, if foreigners tell us, why are there killings, rapes, stealing, and corruption. We must know the meaning of Christianity first. The word Christian means, Christ like.
Being member of a church does not mean you are Christian. You have to be clean from sin to be Christian.
