The National Letters

OUR forefathers worked hard under a harsh colonial system to attain independence for this country.
Under a spirit of nationalism they united and despite our cultural differences won independence for Papua New Guinea. The country exists under a Constitution based on the Bible and the Word God. We are a Christian country.
But today we seem to have compromised our Christian principles by welcoming other faiths and belief systems, like yoga.
Why is NCD Governor Powes Parkop promoting yoga in Port Moresby and inviting city dwellers to participate every weekend?
Yoga is not part of our culture. It is a foreign culture but people are embracing it like it is ours.
