CHURCH, community and political leaders have been urged to stop the on-going tribal fights in the Sialum district of Morobe.
A community church representative from Sialum, Tusi Mopi, said intermittent fights had been continuing between rival clans at Kumukio and Ririwo villages since 2007 and police and leaders had not attended to them.
Mopi said numerous deaths had occurred since the fights began and with no mediation by church elders or appropriate authorities.
He said those involved in the fights and murderers were around walking freely and did not care if they took another villager’s life.
