Round four of the Port Moresby Netball Association premier division matches at the Rita Flynn Complex netball courts saw two one-sided games last Saturday.

The first game at 12.30pm on indoor court two saw Telstars thrash Raukele 71-28.

In the second game later that day on the same court, Mermaids gave Aroma Coast a thumping 64-27.

Both winning teams were clearly a class above their opponents, as both Raukele and Aroma Coast respectively were unable to keep up with the pace and intensity of their challengers.

In the round’s competitive match-ups, City Pharmacy Rebels took on Mona in a closely contested game, with both teams unwilling to give an inch to the opposing players.

In the end, the Rebels control of the central third and superb goal-shooting allowed them to come away winners over Mona 50-45.

The final match saw defending champions Sparrows defeat Monier Paramana 37-20.

It was a scrappy game where both teams struggled to find consistency in attack and defence.

In the end, Sparrows proved that they could grind out winning results in the campaign to defend their title.
