Clear air on age

Letters

EGAL clarity on the public service retirement age is urgently required from the Minister and Secretary for Justice & Attorney General.
Following the Supreme Court decision on March 28, 2019 which nullified PSMA 2014, there has been too much talk on the compulsory retirement age for public servants. A number of public servants have reached the compulsory retirement age of 60 and 65 years so it is very important that the chief legal advisor to the State should come out and put to rest the retirement age.
There has been different opinions on this therefore it is a duty of the Department of Justice and Attorney General to come out and clarify this matter.

Confused over age,
Public Servant, Waigani
