SP PNG Hunters coach Michael Marum said he was pleased to have a player the quality of Junior Rau back for Sunday’s clash with the Northern Pride.
Rau is one of the club’s best finishers and will add polish to the end of Hunters sets.
“Its’ good Junior’s back after serving a suspension from last year,” Marum said.
“He’s got experience and finishes well and that’s what we need.”
Rau said he was keen to get a chance to regain a spot in the 17.
“I’m happy to be back in the team. I was a bit disappointed that I didn’t play last week but I’m just looking forward to this weekend,” he said.
“I got nothing to say about last week’s game. I’m just concentrating on is this weekend and how to play my best footy in front of the fans and help the team win.
“Our halves are new but I they’ll get the job done this weekend. I can’t say much about how they play because I am out on the wing but I just hope they create some opportunities for us out wide so we can score points.”
