JOE Joshua is keeping his spirits up heading into his second Q-Cup.
The SP Hunters fullback had a mixed bagged on debut against the Tweed Heads last week but is keen to get back on the field and prove to the fans that he is worthy of the No.1 jersey.
The Western Highlander is just the latest man entrusted with a role once held by great attacking players in Edene Gabbie and Stargroth Amean.
Joshua is keen to show PNG fans that he can live up to the style and and flair the previous fullbacks showed becuase he has been doing it in the Digicel Cup for the several seasons.
The former Lae Tigers’ No. 1 said he was excited about testing himself against a strong Northern Pride side that would include NRL stars winger Gideon Gela Mosby, half Jake Clifford and centre Enari Tuala.
“It was my first game last week and I’m getting used to it but this week at home should be good,” Joshua said.
