Communion, baptisms held

Faith

CHRISTMAS Eve in Mt Hagen was made more special with baptism of four people and another three received first Holy Communion at St Paul’s Catholic Church in Mt Hagen.
People braved the evening’s heavy rain to attend the Christmas Eve mass.
Fr Jaiya Pura, a priest from Indonesia, conducted the two ceremonies and welcomed new members into the church.
He said Christmas was an important time for the families getting together like Joseph, Mary and Jesus.
Pura said at Christmas, when people thought about the Holy Family and celebrate it, they must think about their own families as well.
He discouraged wives and husbands from leaving their families for new partners.
