MORE than 300 members of the Revival Centres of PNG church in Kokopo, East New Britain, are holding a week-long Christmas Camp at their Raniolo Road main assembly.
The camp, which started on Christmas Day, is themed “They will be hungry and thirsty for a message from the Lord (Amos 8:11-13)”.
Believers came from the church’s Duke of York, Toma, Clifton, Kamar and Kokopo town sub-centres and 22 other smaller fellowships.
Camp activities included item presentations, prayers, sermons, testimonies, Bible study and sharing of fellowship meals.
Various pastors spoke at the occasion on different topics in the Bible and what was expected of spirit-filled believers in a world engulfed by wickedness.
Provincial pastor Toka Beno challenged church members and observers to obey the word of God.
“You must be careful not to refuse the voice of God when he speaks to you,” he said.
“People who refuse to hear the word of God find themselves in all sorts of problems.”
Beno said there would come a time when people would be hungry and thirsty but that hunger and thirst will not be for food or water but for the word of God.
Kokopo district pastor Atti Molly said Jesus had made many miracles whilst he was on Earth and people with problems should go to him for help.
He said one could become a child of God and enter his kingdom by being born again of the water and the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38, John 3:3-5).
