Court dismisses case against man charged with stealing

A MAN charged with stealing K2000 had his case dismissed by Waigani Committal Court yesterday because he was not served the police file.
Harry Tobo, 24 and from Gulewa village in Misima, Milne Bay, was alleged to have stolen the money from his employer Laki Moni Haus at 4-Mile (NCD) on March 5.
Magistrate Cosmos Bidar said the case was mentioned on March 14 and no police file had been served to Tobo since.
“This is a simple charge of stealing and police files should be ready by now,” Bidar said.
Tobo’s K500 bail money will be refunded.
