THE City Pharmacy Limited (CPL) Group’s Stop&Shop chain has donated 200 albums and 1,000 Nature Park wild animal’s collector cards series to Kopkop College.
CPL group manager for people and culture Sonia Osembo, said the company valued communities and the environment and wanted to encourage the building of values among the youth.
“We value our community and our environment. Children are the future and we are proud to support education and health,” Osembo said.
“This visit has a dual purpose and that is for health and education on PNG’s diverse flora and fauna with our partnership with the Port Moresby Nature Park.
“Our health team is also here on site to conduct blood pressure and blood sugar tests on the staff of Kopkop College,” she said.
Kopkop College primary school principal Isaiah Senau said they were grateful for business houses recognising the importance of schools.
“CPL Group and in particular Stop&Shop is a leading retailer, and we are thankful for their support of education. We are also grateful for the health check-up by City Pharmacy nurses and pharmacists on our Kopkop College staff as these vital checks are easily forgotten,” he said.
According to CPL the visit was conducted to support the health and environment on the World Environment Day celebrations.
The cards were provided over the counter at all Stop&Shop and City Pharmacy outlets when customers spend more than K50 shopping
