Jica alumni and city hall staff take part in beach clean-up

MORE than 100 staff from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) Alumni Association and National Capital District Commission (NCDC) recently took part in a clean-up of Konedobu beach side in Port Moresby.
According to Jica the clean-up gave an opportunity to children to think about the greener future.
The staff and locals took part in the clean-up to mark the World Environment Day on June 5.
Other participants were Department of National Planning and Monitoring staff, University of Papua New Guinea environmental science students and Corps Security officers.
The National Airports Corporation supplied 90 t-shirts to the Jica PNG Alumni Association; Jica PNG office supported with refreshments, bin bags and gloves.
Corps Security supported with 30 t-shirts, transportation and security.
Jica thanked NAC and Corps Security for their support towards the event.
