THE Capital Rugby Union (CRU) heads into its second round of pre-season matches this weekend with competition expected to heat up at Bava Park tomorrow.
CRU competition director Paul Joseph said this weekend would see an interesting line-up of matches with grand-final rematches and continued rivalries expected in the men’s division.
“Last year’s grand finalists Kramer Ausenco Brothers and Credit Corporation Harlequins go up against each other in the final trials before the season kicks off,” he said.
“Expect some big tackles as both sides will look to unleash their new players on field two.
“The other match will see Valley Hunters face Wanderers.
“Field one will see Gangloff University take on Moni-Plus Nova who have recruited well and will look to continue their good form from last Saturday in the main game.
“Crusaders and LCR Juggernauts will continue their rivalry.”
He said teams in the women’s division would take a break this weekend with clubs expected to assess their numbers while continuing to train for the season.
