Discipline problem

Letters

IT is sad to hear, see and read about students’ lack of discipline in schools nationwide.
Discipline is every stakeholder’s problem from the Education Secretary down to the parents.
Someone now must stand up and write policies about students’ unethical behaviour in school.
If it means that we bring back the corporal punishment system then we have to do so for the betterment of this nation. I believe the problem is the outcome-based education system forced into our Education system without proper research.
Student discipline is becoming an everyday issue in schools.
School administrators must have strong working policies where students breaching any school rules, whether it be minor or major, must be dealt with accordingly without fear or favour.
Discipline in school is worse than 30 years ago. Policymakers in the department needs to write policies that will minimise students’ unethical behaviour.
