Dockers edge Koboni in AFL clash

A STRONG Lamana Dockers side outplayed Koboni to claim a 39-26 win in round two of the Moni Plus-sponsored Port Moresby Australian Football League competition on Saturday.
Although the scoreline indicated a close match, the Dockers appeared the dominant side at the Colts Oval, displaying their prowess and superior fitness to run rings around Koboni.
Koboni lacked coordination in the engine room in the centre square and lacked ball security, allowing a fitter Dockers outfit to get first use of the ball.
Development player and man of the match Thaddeus Wilket was the fittest of the lot, picking up a lot of marks and kicks all over the pitch to help the Dockers retain the upper hand.
He was supported by experienced hands Emmaus Wartovo, Emmanuel Tupia, Archie Mai Jr, Stanis Isu, Luke Savere Jr and Jason Logi to keep Koboni under pressure.
