I have done nothing wrong, says Schram

SACKED Unitech Vice-Chancellor Dr Albert Schram insists he had done nothing wrong to warrant his dismissal by the university council.
He said he should have been given a fair trial and maintained that there was “no mismanagement at the Unitech”.
“Even (council member and lawyer) Sam Koim could not find corruption because my travel budget had been approved by council,” he said. “As a head of a State agency, I have many obligations. But I have also the right to be protected from unfair and biased attacks.
“I was not given a fair hearing and never enjoyed the benefit of the presumption of innocence.
“My achievements over the past six years, the result of all my hard work, however, seem not to have been taken into account.”
Koim said earlier all 21 allegations against Schram had been upheld by the council.
Schram said he and his wife had come to love PNG and “it’s warm, welcoming, and peace-loving people”.
“Both of us did not come to this country to enrich ourselves, but to make a difference. I have done nothing wrong, and never lied,” he said.
