‘Don’t wait for govt’

THE people cannot sit and wait for Government aid all the time, West New Britain’s Buluma ward councillor Andrew Bata says.
“We must pursue our cause with our partners and stakeholders when we need to build new houses and classrooms,” he said.
Buluma Primary School Hoskins board chairman Reginald Ovasui said: “Education is everybody’s responsibility and parents and citizens can contribute in any capacity and do their best towards the education of our children.”
Speaking at the opening of a new double classroom, Ovasui said everyone must look after the school facilities that contribute to the children’s future. The classroom was funded by the public service improvement programme.
