STATE Enterprises Minister William Duma has opened a new electoral office for Tari-Pori recently naming it the Pangale Haus.
Speaking at the occasion in Tari, Hela on Friday, Duma recalled how the journey to building the province started years back when a young Finance Minister, the now Prime Minister James Marape and a young landowner president, and now Governor Philip Undialu first approached him with their dream to build Hela.
“I am honoured to be given the opportunity to open this building and I am proud of the two men that the prime minister who is the MP for Tari-Pori James Marape and the Governor of Hela Philip Undialu have become.
“Their dream to build Hela is now realised through the big change seen visibly in Hela, you now have sealed roads, buildings, houses, an airport, banks, and water, electricity and a post office,” he said.
Marape thanked Duma for his support for Hela over the years.
The new Pangale Haus will also house the new Women’s Micro Bank.
