Education and teachers

THE Government, through the Education department, is working to raise the standard of education through.
I commend the Government for that but the standard will never change because the Government keeps forgetting the most important part of education – the teachers.
The Government will not meet its education targets unless it looks after the teachers well, like paying them better and providing them good housing.
We can introduce a standard-based education curriculum but if we don’t look after the teachers – whose job it is to make the curriculum work – we will not see positive change.
