Enforce dressing code for workers

Letters

WHEN will the minister for public service start enforcing a personal presentation and dress code?
Looking at photos of public servants in the media and around the streets, most look as if they belong to a criminal gang or slept in a drain.
Unshaven faces, dirty clothes and a general dishevelled appearance does nothing to command respect from the public.
Respect is earned, not demanded or purchased.
Wake Up PNG.

  • My thoughts on this is that..even when the public servants are encouraged to dress to standard, their performance will not increase. we are used to seeing them well dressed and roaming around in and around the betel nut markets every day..the reality is that their offices are filter and tainted with betel nut stains and cigarette buffs. some of them go to work without even a pair of things. about 95% of the people you see in the betting shops (Horse race and Pokies) are public servants.
