Online selection disappointing

THE Grade 12 students’ selection into tertiary institutions is a disappointment.
Students who applied for courses of their choice were advised that they were selected to courses they never had an interest in.
How can one expect students to perform well and pursue careers in courses they are not interested in?
Do we think that these young people will excel in the fields that we choose for them and become productive citizens of this country?
Where is the logic in this?

  • Did you know that whoever that Fr. is brought up this unreliable, ineffective and rubbish system to DHREST to hire his wantok to come and create the mass. Kick him out of the office and get the system in order. Alot of simple students from rural and even town areas who did grade 12 and have no or limited access to technology are missing out on tertiary education selections. The government is saying “take back PNG”, get students into Universities on merit and not how stupid you on manipulating internet. Education in this country is about giving hope to the poor and classless population and due to technology, a lot of smart and bright students who come from disadvantaged home are very badly affected.
