Excuse not going unchallenged

Letters

THE excuse by the Department of Higher Education, Research Science and Technology secretary to the 2019 students who scored better but did not get any spacing in tertiary institutions cannot go unchallenged.
He is shifting the blame to tertiary institutions and not his office.
Everyone knows that there are limited spaces for good scoring students to continue to tertiary institutions. We cannot take his excuse as this is an ongoing issue.
Authorities need to put in place a plan B if all avenues are exhausted, including spacing in those institutions.
There should be opportunities given to private training providers to take in students so students can continue their studies.
