Flames take on Birdwings

TWO interesting matches are on the cards in the National Capital District Basketball Association A grade men’s competition at the Hohola court tomorrow.
This weekend will end round one and the second and final round begins with only affiliated clubs and registered players.
In the early tussle at 3pm competition pacesetters Southern Flames are up against newcomers Birdwings and at 4pm Tamaraws face Gerehu Jets in the main challenge which will again feature several current and former elites that should end with thrilling results.
Flames with the in-form Charles Parapa and Moses Lune are likely to dominate the showdown against an equally determined Birdwings led by Dodong Elavo, Sydney Dobunaba and Ipai Willie.
Birdwings coach Fred Elavo last weekend against Tamaraws got Willie to control the momentum better sharing the ball and setting plays rather than trying to play as an individual.
Elavo knows that against Flames they have to be patient on offence and look to stretch the floor and use scorers like Parapa and Lune.
Tamaraws with former internationals Bernard and Gabriel Elavo as well as youngster Moses Kairi are expected to give Jordan Sere’s Gerehu Jets all they can handle.
