Foreigners in our own land

Briefs, Letters

RASKOLS have become a constant threat to many innocent people in cities like Port Moresby, Lae and Mt Hagen, I have observed that many innocent lives and properties are being lost to the growing number of raskols.
People can no longer move about freely.
I have also seen and heard many people, who have contributed immensely in both the public and private sectors, are losing their lives in the hands of these evil culprits.
Many knife-welding youths are going around threatening our mothers and sisters, fathers and brothers for cash or else they are severely harmed.
Is this the kind of life that we want to live with?
Certainly not.
I am sad to say this but I am now feeling like a foreigner in my own land because of this constant threat.
I believe many people would agree with this observation.
As such, I call on the government and authorities to come down hard on these raskols.
They must act to ensure that there is law and order in this country.
Who will want to invest in a lawless country?
