Fraud case transferred

THE Waigani Committal Court transferred a misappropriation case against Bougainville Mining Minister Robin Williams back to the Buka District Court in Bougainville for listing.
Williams appeared before magistrate Cosmas Bidar charged with one count of misappropriating K150,000 belonging to the Bougainville government.
It was alleged that between Sept 1 and Oct 31, 2016, Wilson dishonestly applied the money to his own use and the use of others.
Bidar said court files were not ready and so adjourned the case to March 2.
