FOUR students who graduated with Bachelor of Nursing degrees from the Pacific Adventist University have thanked their Yangoru-Saussia district for funding their education.

They had benefitted from the district’s tertiary school fee subsidy scheme since 2012.

The four are Sandra Haffa, 24, Irish Kreng, 23, Sylvia Wukawa, 24, and Mary Sungu, 24, from Kubalia, Yangoru-Saussia.

They will be stationed in community health posts, health centers and district hospitals to deliver health services.

MP Richard Maru thanked the students on behalf of the district for successfully completing the course.

“Our people’s future will depend entirely on the decisions by our elites to return and serve the district. It’s time Sepiks travel to other provinces to look for jobs,” Maru said. He said past leaders should have realised the importance of developing and educating the human resources.
