THE Kings of Hearts Foundation is holding a ‘Walk and Give’ day at the Ela Beach basketball courts in Port Moresby tomorrow to raise funds.

It is a charity group formed in 2012 by a group of friends, touched by a series of personal tragedies and who want to help other Papua New Guineans by supporting the Sir Buri Kidu Heart Institute in Port Moresby.

Foundation president Raymond Romalus said: “The foundation is raising funds to purchase a much-needed portable echo machine to help detect and diagnose and ultimately reduce the prevalence of heart disease in PNG.

“While we’re spreading awareness on the prevalence of heart defects, this is also an opportunity for the members of the public to contribute used items such as toys, clothes, books and linen for patients of the Heart Institute.

“Please join us for a mini walkathon this Saturday plus a sausage sizzle where items can be donated.

“Blessing a fellow Papua New Guinean’s heart in any way possible will go a long way.”
