Harlequins beat Crusaders on return

HARLEQUINS captain Desmond Korpok describe their 36-28 win over the Crusaders as a “hungry one” after missing three games due to the club’s suspension in their Capital Rugby Union round 8 match at Bava Park, Port Moresby, on Saturday.
Harlies took a narrow 13-8 lead in to halftime. In the second half, both teams had their moments, spreading the ball at every opportunity and competing well in the rucks, but Harlies proved the better at creating and finishing posting four tries, with Korpok landing one himself. “I think the boys are happy to be back playing, we learned from the incident and we hope move forward,”Korpok said.
Korpok said the incident had tarnished the club’s name and they had to work to regain that position.
“The motivation behind the win was to do it for each other. We want to bring back a great club culture and play for the love of rugby.
“We’re sorry for what happened and we’re looking at changing and bringing back pride to the club and to honor what CRU stands for.”
