WATER utility company Eda Ranu presented a first payment of K30,000 last week to the Dobo Warriors for their participation in the Port Moresby Rugby League competition.
Managing director Henry Mokono presented the cheque saying the company was pleased to back a club that had produced some of the country’s best talent such as the late Kato Ottio, Mendi Muruks lock Adam Korave and PNG Hunters star Edene Gabbie.
“We are privileged to be associated with this club and we will continue this sponsorship for a long time yet,” Mokono said.
“We have committed to sponsoring this club for K60,000 this year and this continues out support of the club for the last 15 years.”
The club is owned by the Koiari people who own the land from which Eda ranu sources the water it supplies to the National Capital District. The club also will receive K11,000 worth of uniforms to be supplied in from Australia, plus boots for their A-grade players.
