THE Credit Corporation Harlequins will look to continue their perfect start to the Capital Rugby Union (CRU) season when they face the Crusaders in round five at Bava Park in Port Moresby tomorrow.
Coming off a 25-10 win over the Wanderers in round four last week, they will be determined to put the much-improved Crusaders to the sword.
Speaking to The National yesterday, CRU director Pepe Gotaha said: “The Crusaders have shown improvement in their games compared to last year.
“From their performance in the past four weeks, they’ve improved a lot.
“They are in the top-five.”
Meanwhile, Moni Plus Nova – who were a top-five team last year — lost 12-26 to the Crusaders last week.
Commenting on Nova’s loss, Gotaha said it was unlike them to go down with such a scoreline.
He said the Crusaders secured a bonus-point win over Nova.
“A bonus point means that the winning team has scored four or more tries,” Gotaha said.
“So instead of getting four competition points, they got five.”
The season is expected to run for 10 weeks.
There will be no grand finals but the top team at the end of round 10 will walk away as the winners of the competition.
Fixtures: Sat, Oct 10 — Brothers v Juggernauts (9am), Harlequins v Crusaders (11am), University v Valley Hunters (1pm), Nova v Wanderers (3pm).
