COMPETITION leaders Amoana Revivals, will be put to the test by City United, in the main NCD Public Servants soccer match at PNGIPA Oval, Waigaini tomorrow.

Amoana, who have brushed aside strong teams, including reigning champions FC Wantoks, to propel to the top of the competition ladder, will now test City United.

Under the coaching skills of Vagi Kila, the representative side from the Koupa soccer competition is making waves in the second-tier city soccer competition.

Despite not having big name players, the village-based teams are presenting a hard time to city teams.

United has Kema Jack, Tonga Esira and Tasola Niebo of Hekari United fame, taking charge of the team in the NCDPSSA competition.

City United is ready to face Amoana.

Jack will go up against his village folks and will not take it easy as his team desperately need the competition points.

In other matches, the Erick Komeng-coached FC Wantoks will take on Buria while Valley Strikers to look to beat the host, PNGIPA SOG.

On Sunday, the second-placed ITI-sponsored Musa team will take on the New Irelanders, Murat in the main game.

The Northern province team, Musa,  are hot behind Amoana and the race for the competition lead should give them the edge over Murat

In the women’s division challenge tomorrow, FC Wantok should extend their competition lead when they play and beat Buria.

City United’s women are eyeing a win over Amoana Revival on Ground One, while on Ground Two, Valley Strikers go head-to-head against a young PNGIPA SOG.

On Sunday, Musa will take on Murat.

A-League women’s standings: Wantok 9, City United 7, Amoana 6, Murat 4, Musa 4, Buria 3, Valley Strikers 1 and PNGIPA SOG 0.
