Hekari’s Embel and Star’s Seriba face off in final

Normal, Sports

TWO players are set to make their National Soccer League final debuts tomorrow and in opposing teams.
Lap Embel lines up as Eastern Star’s striker while friend Brett Seriba will be on the wing for Hekari United in what is easily the biggest game for both 20-year-olds.
Seriba is a former junior representative who played for the PNG Football Academy side, Besta United in 2009.
Ironically Seriba was selected for the Stars last year but ended up with Hekari which he says has the best management and discipline of any team he has been involved with.
The Milne Bay man is renowned as a skilful dribbler and has the ability to get past the tightest defences.
Embel, from Southern Highlands, has earned a reputation as a goal-scoring ace in the Port Moresby competition.
He previously was attached with Hekari (2009-10) and has represented PNG at under-20 level.
Both players have built a friendship from playing together in the various junior representative sides from under-16 to under-23.
Their competitive natures ensures fans see a battle within a battle tomorrow at PRL.
