Help Menyamya people out

Letters

A STORY of village birth attendant Betty Yawa from Menyamya, Morobe, last week, has prompted me to write this. Over the last 45 years, the Menyamya and Aseki people have been crying for government services, which is a shame to the Morobe administration and Menyamya development authority.
I wonder where all the services improvement programme funds have gone over all these years?
Why can’t the Menyamya MP or the Morobe government get an ambulance for the people?
That young mother and others, including seriously sick people, are being forced to sit on top of coffee bags on vehicles to receive medical attention at Bulolo or Angau Memorial Hospital.
This is dangerous and has resulted in many unreported deaths over the years.
Something should be done quickly about it.
I am urging the people of Menyamya/Aseki to sit down and seriously think about who they are going to vote for in the coming elections.
