Holy Week

Letters

HOLY Week is an expression that has no biblical connections.
The fact is that every day to Christians is holy.
This can send a wrong signal to an unwitting worshipper.
Holy Week now stands only as make-believe to impress upon worshippers or mankind that it is done in honour of the Almighty God.
This is also true with the misinterpretation of the ‘Sabbath Day’ worship, which implies a day of rest unto the Lord. Because one keeps all days as holy as possible, it becomes less significant to the Lord whether Saturday or Sunday is to be ones’ day of Sabbath.
The worshippers are the ones who make the day holy – if indeed they are holy.
If the Lord our God is to accept our prayers, it is recommended for us to go into fasting and repentance modes against past evils we have committed.
