Hooligans terrorsising Koki bus stop

IT is common to see thugs harassing and pickpocketing innocent people at the Gordon’s market.
Now, the Koki bus stop has become just as notorious as Gordon’s market.
This time, the blame does not fall on the highlanders but the Wanigelas and Keremas who live around Koki.
These thugs, in broad daylight, simply walk inside a waiting PMV, pull out their knives and walk away with bilums and other item taken from passengers.
I cannot understand why the Wanigela community has turned a blind eye to what is happening.
The Wanigelas and Keremas who live around Koki are a disgrace to the Papuans and the nation.
They are not to be called Papuans because they behave worse than animals.
These people have become opportunists and strike whenever there is an opportunity.
This has been happening for a while now and the police, who frequently patrol the bus stop, are unable to do anything because these thugs know how to blend in.
When the police are there, they do not harass the people but when the police leave, they start to terrorise the people again.
Can the Gulf governor and Abau MP make their way to the Koki bus stop and talk some sense into their people?
NCD Governor Powes Parkop is trying his best to build a good image for the city and we do not need hooligans from Wanigela, Kerema or other Papuans to spoil the good work of the governor.
It is about time that the Vagrancy Act is enforced.
