Huon dart teams step up as business end nears

TEAMS competing in Lae’s Huon Dart Association competition are stepping up with three games remaining before the minor premiers are declared.
“The Houn Dart Association strongly encourages family participation in the sport because it has proved to be beneficial, especially to children,” president Nigel Kiaka said in statement.
Sergeants Gold were drawn against the Aces over the weekend.
The game started off with a bang when Sergeants Gold’s Jem Komok sealed the team game.
But the Aces responded through Felix Toriman, who clinched their star in the opening double.
The Aces by collected their second star in the third double to extend their lead.
Not to be outdone, Sergeants Gold came back by sealing the four remaining doubles.
Despite a fightback from the Aces, Sergeants Gold collected stars from the last four straight singles to close out the match.
In the other fixtures, Sergeants Green beat Unitech 8-5, Swing Low Sniper beat Officers 7-6, Hauslain31 beat Sappers1 7-0 and Post PNG beat Sappers2 7-0 as well. Both 7-0 games were forfeit.
