In-form Gurias to face Gulf Isou

An inform Agmark Rabaul Gurias side will feature this weekend against the Gulf Isou for round two of the Digicel Cup at the Sir John Guise Stadium on Sunday.
Skipper Watson Boas and five-eight Allan Simbiri will be looking to set the pace for the Gurias on game day with the Wartovo Puara Jnr at hooker for the Rabaul based franchise. After an impressive win in their season opener against the Mt Hagen Eagles (30-10), Gurias Co-coach Marcus Kaugla noted a strong performance however he says the team were back to training to build on their campaign.
Gulf Isou head coach Nigel Hukula has signalled a strong emphasis on his side’s style of attack after Gulf were served an 18-6 loss by the Central Dabaris last weekend.
“We’re definitely working on a few things and we’ve been trying to get it right this week
“I probably want them to attack the line a little more but it’s something we want to get use to and how we want to play.
“We have to work better on our ball handling and the decision making as well and be tidier around the ruck area,” he said.
The Isou last week missed the services SP Hunter Smith Siviri but Hukula will be looking to his halves combination of Gabby Taune and Yunny Patrick to provide some creativity against a sturdy Gurias line-up.
