Increase frontline workers’ salary

Letters

TEACHERS and nurses are becoming frontline workers such as the police and the army to combat the coronavirus in the country.
Hence, the Government should pay teachers and nurses some added percentages on to their normal fortnightly salaries.
It seems many schools in the country do not have the necessary safety equipment or measures to effectively reduce the chances of contracting the dreaded virus.
If an outbreak occurs, many teachers and nurses will be affected. And some may even lose their lives.
Is what’s being said in the media contrast with what actually happening on the ground?
