THE public should be updated on the reasons behind the three years delay on the delivery of the much publicised Kengre Mobile Police Barracks at Yangoru, East Sepik.
The K18 million project was beyond the threshold of the then Central Supplies and Tender Board (CSTB) at K10 million .
Therefore, only a recommendation of top three shortlisted contractors were submitted by the CSTB to the National Executive Council to make a decision and approve a preferred contractor to deliver within scope and actual availability of K18 million at hand.
The police fraud unit should undertake preliminary investigations to find out the whereabouts of the K18 million in the trust account.
Was it diverted elsewhere or fully drawn down by the contractor?

  • The same politician seems to leave a trail of unanswered question also on the whereabouts of K200 million failed NID Electronic voting system seems to be immunied from scuitiny by concerned authorities . How long nature will continue to be in his favor ?.
