A FEMALE prisoner at Bihute jail outside Goroka Eastern Highlands province, who was admitted to the Goroka Base Hospital because she was pregnant, dashed for freedom yesterday. However, her freedom was short-lived as Correctional Services officers watching over her managed to go after her and capture her at the National Sports Institute gates, 1km away from the hospital. She was taken back to the hospital and was admitted at the labour ward. She faces fresh charges of escaping from lawful custody.
