PAPUA New Guinea giant PMMI Insurance recently helped Touch Football PNG with uniforms for referees.

The uniforms cost K15,000 and consist of 24 shirts, shorts, socks and bags with the company logo and name.

“We recognise touch football’s preparation towards the 2015 Pacific Games and refereeing is one technical area TFPNG is working on to ensure there are several PNG based referees officiating during the 2015 Games,” he said.

TFPNG technical director Joe Yore thanked the company management for their continued support for touch football.

“The nine national referees at the national championships stole the show with the white uniforms and socks in the national colours of red, black and gold stripes,” Yore said.

He said referees and intending referees should a level one and two coaching courses would be held in Kokopo, Goroka (NSI), Port Moresby and Madang during June, July, August and September. All interested in attending are asked to contact the regional directors before May 3.
