THE fraud office cannot proceed with interviewing the managing director of the National Airport Corporation Richard Yopo because he has immediate family matters to attend to.
Interview dates were adjourned because he has urgent family matters to solve, National Fraud and Anti-Corruption Directorate Chief Supt Mattew Damaru said.
Damaru said Yopo was released again on Tuesday after he was taken in by police.
He said Yopo was taken in by police because he did not follow the order of the fraud office.

  • Am I reading it right that Richard Yapo is off the hooks when required to give evidence before the National Fraud & Anti Corruption giving reasons that his family matters takes priority over the rule of law? Whether its a corruption or a criminal case the rule of law must be upheld, an accused or suspect must be dealt with. Whether its Mr Yapo or a common criminal makes no difference.
