It’s time to change attitude

Letters, Normal

I REFER to the letter “Where is Mendi MP?” (The National, March 31) by “Another Bush Karinj”.
It cannot go unchallenged.
Let me ask the writer two simple questions.
Did the MP tell the people to fight?
And why are they fighting?
There can never be a good reason to kill.
The people of SHP cannot blame our MPs for every tribal fight in the province.
We must take the responsibility to stop and prevent tribal fights.
We can start by educating our people that tribal fights achieve nothing.
The reality is the people of Mendi have an attitude problem.
Until we change our attitude, tribal fighting will be a norm in our society.
I challenge the writer to come up with a plan on how we can bring peace to the people.
Pr Isaac Joseph is an outstanding leader with a heart for the people.
