Boost Auto and On Track Solutions have secured the naming rights for the Papua New Guinea Golf Association’s Junior Masters with a sponsorship of K10,000.
Manager Jesse Gedisa said the companies were proud to support junior golf development in the country.
“As corporate citizens, we are obligated to support raw talent at the event,” Gedisa said.
He encouraged junior golfers to be disciplined on and off the course.
Association vice-president Rosalind Taufa said their aim was to encourage and build interest in golf.
“All amateur juniors between 12-18 years of age are eligible to participate,” Taufa said.
Youngsters from Port Moresby, Mt Hagen, Ramu, Kokopo, Lae and Australia are expected to battle it out at the Mosa Golf Course in West New Britain from Sept 19-21.
“Defending female champion Natalie Mok will represent the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club, with silver medallist Danae Clamp coming from Australia,” Taufa said.
