K15,000 for Fode centre

THE Heldsbach flexible open and distance education (Fode) centre in Morobe last week received a K15,000 funding from the Finschhafen development authority.
The funding will benefit more than 200 students from grade nine to 12. Centre principal Dicks Iwong said: “We are expecting better results with the support from the government in giving a second chance to the young, especially those in remote areas.
“Such funding will help boost the government’s drive to promote second chance learning and push Fode to achieve excellence.”
