GULF Komara registered their third win on the trot as they defeated Star Mountain 5-2 in round four of National Soccer League in Port Moresby on Saturday.
Star Mountain led 2-1 at halftime at Papua New Guinea Football Stadium, but they could not carry the momentum into the second half as Komara scored four unanswered goals to win the match.
Komara assistant coach Steven Mune said after the game that his side’s pre-season training was having an impact on their games so far.
“We believe that we have a very strong team,” he said.
“We’re continuing to get better in every game.”
Star Mountain forward David Mosin scored the first goal early on before Komara responded with an equaliser through Napoleon Jack.
Star Mountain re-took the lead when Michael Saun scored before the break.
The second half was all Komara as Jordan Kaven, Pala Paul, Pascal Kundi and Danny Vetali scored a goal each to run out victors.
