KUMUL Telikom Holdings (KTH) will eventually have three of its core businesses housed under a single business centre model for the convenience of serving customers.
Acting chief executive Xavier Victor said this after opening of the State company’s business centre at Waterfront Mall in Port Moresby yesterday.
Victor told The National that the business centre would initially serve KTH fixed line customers as it progressively expands nationwide.
“The holdings has three business arms,” he said.
“That includes the wholesale business, fixed business and the mobile business.
“However, the new shop will not deal with our wholesale or mobile business customers.
“We’ll advise them to visit the right business shops.
“As we continue to progress, we are looking forward to an open retail shop that will include all three businesses.”
The business centre has reception desks for customer service with a cashier office desk for bills and other payments.
Victor said the centre would focus more on convenience as opposed to past setups by the former Telikom PNG. “It’s not like our traditional hours of operation where we opened in the morning and closed in the afternoon,” he said.
“Our customers should not worry about travelling all the way down to our office at Waigani to get services.
“They can access here for 24 hours and seven days a week.
“The services include VSAT or very small aperture Terminal service, fixed broadband internet service, fixed line service and PBAX or private automatic branch exchange business lines service.
“Apart from these services, the customers can also raise their queries and doubts to the desks for further help.”
Retail manager Amos Tepi said KTH wanted to expand the business centre model to other centres already accessing its 4G network.
