Kumuls played their hearts out against Roos

Letters, Normal

MANY people look at the score line and criticised the Kumuls.
However, I would like to congratulate the boys for playing with their hearts on their sleeves.
Their defence was good and I would say silly mistakes and drop balls allowed the Kangaroos to pounce and score the tries.
They did not score by breaking through the Kumuls defence.
This is my view on Neville Costigan and former Kumul coach Adrian Lam.
Neville Costigan: When contacted by the PNGRL, he said that he would wait and see if he would be picked by the Australian side and treated PNG as his second choice country. As, he did not have faith and trust in the new management and coach, he decided not to play. We cannot keep on calling up someone who is treating PNG as a second-class country.
Adrian Lam: Even though he is considered one of the best coaches, he resigned on his own will.  When he resigned, the management demanded he return many things that belonged to the Kumuls in Australia such as supplements for the players, training kits, jerseys and training shorts and shirts, etc. Why are these things in Lam’s possession in Australia? Someone should investigate him for abusing the PNG Kumuls name in Australia.
The current Kumuls gave a good account of themselves.
Let’s give the team and new coach time to find their footing.
